Today’s transformation of our societies depends on how Services are able to challenge innovative production forms. Services do not represent any longer a set of procedures that follow industrial change; they drive per se the new world activities.

This CIEO DP edition is a compilation of papers developed within the framework of several PhD dissertations currently in preparation at the Research Centre of Spatial and Organizational Dynamics. “Challenging Services” collects eight papers discussing theory and practice in Services, in particular, when related to Education and Tourism
